| Soham Grammarian Spring
1962 In September 1961 we welcomed to the Staff four new masters: Mr DA Clark (Biology), Mr PR Grover (English), Mr RJH Makin (Science) and Mr JG Speed (Geography). Already their presence has invigorated the life of the School, and we hope that their stay at Soham will be long and happy. Soham Grammarian Summer 1965 Mr Speed, after four years at Soham, has left to take up an administrative post with the Norfolk Education Authority. He leaves behind a well-equipped and thriving Geography Department, which has flourished under his leadership. He will also be remembered as the enthusiastic and efficient founder and first C.O. of the School's Army Cadet Force. The Staff Tennis, Badminton and Football teams have suffered a heavy loss, by his going. |
