SOME CHARACTERS OF THE 1st XI
LC REED: He has not made as many runs as was anticipated. A good stroke player and useful change bowler.
JP SARGENT: His batting has been disappointing, but he has borne the brunt of the bowling and has been a very strong member of the 1st XI
F DEWEY: He has the ability to become a good bat; as far as his bowling goes he will improve when he ceases to sacrifice good length for speed.
R FULLER: His cricket has improved this term and he should be a great asset to the team next year, both as a wicket-keeper and a bat.
N WARD: The most improved member of the team. Plays his shots (shot) correctly and is developing into a good off-break bowler. He also stands in the field.
MJG WHETSTONE: Apt to be expensive in his first few overs, but bowls well when he has found his length. He should become a good bat.
DM BRAY: Although young, he has the right temperament for an opening bat, and he should develop into a real run-getter.RAT
