CRICKET NOTES, 1962

Up to the time of going to print, the First XI has played four matches; one being won by ten wickets, one being lost and the other two drawn.

Barker, Register and Aves have all had to bowl long spells, and they have stuck to their task well, being accurate and inexpensive.

Bailey's 81 against the Perse has highlighted the batting ; the middle batsmen have yet to prove themselves.

So far the fielding has been generally good; at times it has reached great heights, particularly the throwing-in. A workmanlike team but not spectacular.

The Second XI has had its ups and downs; Burling has usually propped up the batting, his best score being 69 against March.

The Under 14's go merrily on their way. Mr Bozeat has some promising cricketers in the lower part of the School, who should do well in the future.
