Scholarships, etc.

Minor Scholarships, awarded by the Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely Education Committees, are tenable at the School. The Scholarships cover free tuition, together with a free railway ticket in cases of need. The Scholarships are awarded on the results of the County Minor Scholarships Examinations, which are held annually.
Candidates must be over 10 and under 12 years of age on September 1st in the year of award.

Major Scholarships of the value of £30 a year (or £50 in approved cases of boys who are taking a Science), tenable at a University or other approved Institution for Higher or Technical Education are awarded annually on the results of the Cambridge Higher School Certificate or other Second School Examination, to the boys who are in need of financial assistance to continue their education.

Supplementary Major Scholarships of the value of £25 a year are awarded to boys who need not necessarily have passed a Second School Examination, but have obtained a Scholarship at the Institution of Higher Education to which they propose to proceed, or have passed such Examinations as the Cambridgeshire Education Committee consider to be sufficient, and are in need of financial assistance. SUPPLE MENTARY MAJOR SCHOLARSHIPS ARE NOT TENABLE CONCURRENTLY WITH MAJOR SCHOLARSHIPS.

Agricultural Scholarships are offered by the Cambridgeshire Education Committee, the Cambridge University Agricultural Department and the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries under certain conditions.
