cutting from the Soham Advertiser, courtesy of Fred Eden GRAMMAR SCHOOL'S NEW PAVILION OPENED BY MRS BM BACON "As chairman of the Governors of this school I appreciate to the full thge honour that is mine today in presiding over this historic assembly in the life of the school, but it is touched with a mattter of regret that one who was so keen, a forerunner of this pavilion, the one [her late husband] who gave a lot of his time and his thought to starting this project, is not with us today ... "
