1961 2H School And CrossbonesStan Harley (1953): I remember missing out on HMS Pinafore which would make that 1954, and my voice broke so I failed an audition for The Mikado which must make that 1956. So I reckon I've filled in three gaps there, hopefully someone else can confirm that. I remember being a pirate in the Pirates of Penzance in 1957, so, in those days I was quite gifted - I wonder where it all went wrong! .. but perhaps others would like to check these dates.
Brian Knott (1947): As I slowly go through the SGS web site with a fine tooth comb it is nudging my fading memory. Just read the History/Productions page and it reminded me that between the years of 1947 and 1951, my years of attendance, I attended a performance of a play entitled The Monkey's Paw which gave me sleepless nights for a while so that is something that is missing from the list but this may remind one of your readers and they may be able to provide details. John Butcher (1947) adds that it was a Hereward House play performed at Christmas 1950.
David Cross (1954) has supplied dates and programmes for some of the above productions.
